Fintech Galaxy has assembled a team of international open banking and finance professionals to boost its product offering and strengthen its business in the MENA region.
The recruits will work to bolster Fintech Galaxy’s mission to become the foremost open finance integration and compliance platform with a strong emphasis on the UAE, Bahrain, and Saudi markets.
Fintech Galaxy was founded in 2018 with a mission “to move the needle on financial inclusion” while enabling open banking and finance in the MENA region through its developer-friendly proprietary website, www.thefinx.io.
According to the CEO & founder of Fintech Galaxy, Mirna Sleiman, the company’s vision is to foster financial inclusion in its local population of two billion people. Sleiman opines: “We are delighted to strengthen our team with a raft of experienced professionals who bring global expertise to our region and elevate our product offering to serve next customers.”
Dmitrii Barbasura, the erstwhile CEO & co-founder of Salt Edge, joins the company as chief operating officer. While Iaroslav Babenco is the new chief financial officer, Cristian Gheorghita joins as the sales director. Also, there is a technical team of open finance compliance and data aggregation experts, including Ana Maria Bahnarel, Natalia Muhianov, and Pavel Kipkala. The legal and public relations & content team comprising Adriana Arnaut and Diana Hriplivaia will provide support.
FINX Connect offers payment initiation and account integration capabilities, including a unique API sandbox. At the same time, FINX Comply supports banks and financial institutions to comply with local open banking/finance guidelines with minimum effort.
Sleiman says: “It is no secret that open finance has triggered a major transformation in the global banking industry. Our own innovation platform and API sandbox have powered more than 30 use cases with leading institutions over the past two years, which resulted in fintechs successfully designing apps and delivering proof of concepts (PoCs). Providing open finance infrastructure and production capabilities as a technical service provider (TSP) is only a natural development of our product strategy and regional presence.”
Fintech Galaxy is discussing with some financial institutions across MENA regarding cutting-edge payment initiation and account information services use cases to provide services to corporate and retail customers.
